It blocks light out effectively, there may be a teeny tiny bit of light coming through the nose but being such a low level it’s not an issue. The adjustable cups mean you don’t have to worry about whether it will fit or not. The strap is Velcro, thicker than the thin elastic strap on most other eye masks, that would be an individual preference, but for me I find elastic strap very uncomfortable although I never tried any expensive ones. It’s pretty light weight and comfortable but of course the best would be if I didn’t have to wear a sleep mask at all but that’s a trade off I chose to make.

Love this sleep mask!: I’ve been wearing a sleep mask for years — always ones I get off of Amazon and that I wear early in the morning when the sun starts shining in my windows. The masks I’ve tried were always decently comfortable but it bothered me that light would always creep in. I honestly didn’t know if a true blackout sleep mask existed until I tried this one! This has such a great fit to it — love that you can customize it by moving the eye covers to where they work best for you & the Velcro strap is easy to adjust for your head size and stays secure once on. I would highly recommend this sleep mask if you are looking for a true blackout option and a more personalized fit!
