Compared to homemade, this tincture is clear, without sediment, and is more sweet than bitter when placed under the tongue. The sweetness was a surprise, and I can only assume this has to do with the fact that they grow their own mushrooms instead of using wild. Like the mushrooms were cared for on the farm more than they would be in the wild and maybe that makes the flavor less bitter? Whatever the reason, I can definitely tell that it is reishi though, as it has the same overall color and flavor as the ones I make. I put 2 ml in my coffee in the morning and can just barely taste it, which is perfect! So if you're looking for a genuine reishi tincture, give this a try! Added bonus is that the dropper has little lines to measure your dose, which is especially useful for someone like me that tends to overdo it. Just be prepared to wait, as my order took 11 days to arrive to Ohio. Otherwise, great product!
