Outside of having to handwash both the mug and the lid, I cannot think of any improvements I would make, LOL. For the record, the lid does fit, but the straw does not. Fortunately, I had other metal straws that work perfectly with the lid.

Terrible Quality Straw--snapped in half.: This cup was perfect, until it was not. I dropped it after about a month of use and was shocked to see the straw had snapped in half. I contacted customer service and they said it was 'user error' and refused to replace it. Super disappointed as I did love the cup. I wish the straw wasn't plastic, but it's awesome!: I would give it 5 stars if the straw weren't plastic. I actually replaced the straw with my own metal straw and it still works great!
