The first time I bought it in the tube and struggled a bit getting it out and onto my loofah gloves or the Everist sponge. The second time I bought the tin and it's so much easier and cleaner IMO. I will squeeze the rest of the tube I have left into the tin once I've finished the tin. An inch (as recommended) is def enough for a full body. I don't find it abrasive at all and not even sure it exfoliates much on its own but it lathers up beautifully. I prefer to use the Everist dry body brush first then follow up with this in the shower.
