The height of it means there is less strain to the abdominals for a... The height of it means there is less strain to the abdominals for a newly postpartum mom/someone with a diastasis (when used lying on back). It also works well for multiple areas in the body and can be used like a rolling pin for yourself or someone else. It is a pretty firm so it might be too much for some and I would still avoid using this on the spine of someone with osteoporosis.
